THE PLUMBING REVOLUTION WAS NOT A MATTER OF SIMPLE HYDRAULICS!

It started by revolutionizing the simplest of the plumbing activities, such as joining the pipelines, bolting, and using screws. Going back in history, the plumbing activities were not done as simply as they are being done today. The plumbers used to revise and redo many processes as the little mistakes were not unavoidable by humans, and in case of an error, the whole process needed to be reviewed. It took not just hours, but days and weeks. It not only consumed a great effort with no proper justification of pay rates, but also reduced the effectiveness of the nuts, joints, and bolts. It is a natural science, which was not so standard back in the early days of plumbing.

As you repeat and add extra effort in joining a part or reuse the same nut on the device, it becomes less effective, and there is a chance of malfunction as the primary effect of that machining part reduces and becomes less reliable. This was not understood back in the days, and therefore, plumbing was done in a repetitive habit, which made the processes less durable and reduced the reliability. Similar was the case with the pipeline installation and joining. If, for example, the pipeline malfunctions, not only that, it required redoing the process from scratch but also produced a less active and hardly durable pipeline.

The introduction of press fittings

Press fittings were introduced to make the process of joining pipelines and installing them efficient and less time-consuming. There are primarily two types of press-fitting profiles. The M type press fittings and the V profile press fittings. Both of these profiles are equally used by plumbers all over the world. They are known to be equally efficient and useful; however, the technicalities such as habits and level of comfort define which profile would a plumber use. There is no clear difference between these two profiles.
